it's hot here and i'm having trouble seeing the screen. i've been reading all morning (The Last (late) Abortion Doctor, more taibbi, john waters on leslie van houten, terry pratchett on assisted suicide laws and this) and now my head is all wrapped in padding feeling. reading about dr. hern made me seriously consider ways i might get over my aversion to seeing peoples' insides and going into medicine anyway.

i can't write yet - i don't know where to begin. where i begin, i think, will have an effect on the whole project.
